On August 7, 2024, an email was sent to Anjuman Mehjabin under the name Shahriar Shanto, threatening to take down her Facebook page Mehjabin98 (Link: https://www.facebook.com/AnjumanMehjabin98 ). The cybercriminals gave her a 72-hour ultimatum. Shortly after, her page was suspended. Later, the scammer sent a screenshot via email confirming that they were responsible for the suspension.
According to Anjuman Mehjabin, due to the political instability in the country at that time, she couldn’t take immediate action.
However, on September 7, 2024, the same scammer, using a different email address, again sent a threatening message to Anjuman Mehjabin, stating that she is his next target. The scammer threatened to take down all her social media accounts. Anjuman Mehjabin has shared the screenshots of the conversation with us, where the scammer identified himself as Imran Hossain, alias "Mr Copyrighter," using the email address [email protected].
These threats have caused severe mental stress to Anjuman Mehjabin, leaving her in a state of fear and anxiety. She is unable to focus on her studies and has lost interest in content creation. Due to this, her mental health has deteriorated.
