Intensive Training Program held at UGC
Intensive Training program for Core team of Quality assurance at Higher Educational Institutes was held at UGC for four days from 13th to 16th March 2017 organized by Quality assurance unit. The Program was inaugurated by Prof. Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC while Presided over by Dr. Gorang Chandra Mohanta (Additional Director), ndc , Project Director of HEQEP.
Special Guest was Dr. Mokhleshur Rahman , Senior Procurement Specialist of World Bank. Welcome address was given by Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmd, Head, QAU while coordinated by Prof. Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary, Quality Assurance Specialist. Prof. Abdul Mannan described that Strategic planning for higher eduction is going on to develop so that in bound Tertiary education with inclusiveness is going on.
He praised quality assurance unit for selflessly working in this direction and fulfilling his dream to continuous improvement of Higher education. 69 public and private universities are working for quality improvement through IQAC.
Three Foreign trainers trained 36 trainees for four days for developing their skill, course curriculum design, accreditation rules and regulations including North American scenario and possible inclusion in the Bangladesh National qualification framework, assessment procedure, single examiner system in the US system so that student can not suffer and leakage of question can not happen while moderation and involvement of lot of people in question finalizing system in traditional manner, Benefits of outcome based course curriculum, learning outcomes at course level, course mapping and introducing employability skill among the students and also transform them as TOT.
All praised for the introducing Bangladesh Accreditation council Bill-2017. QAU is currently preparing Bangladesh National Qualification framework considering different countries especially developed nations like USA, Canada and Australia.
